Along with its companion album, Yin, this is a collection of Fish rarities, mostly re-recordings. This album focuses more on Fish solo renditions of Marillion cuts, although that does not make up the entire disc. The high points of “Yang” are the evocative re-workings of Marillion cuts “Lavender” and “Kayleigh.”
