The Lowdown And Dirty single, from the allbum Unusual Heat, was released in 1991 when Foreigner were going through a though time. Most people were to quick and dismissed this album because it was that album that didnt feature Lou Gramm on vocals. Well its their loss. If you have an open mind than you will be pleasantly surprised as the Unusual Heat is a credible rock effort. Johnny Edwards does a fine job singing and not only did he had to live up to replace Lou Gramm he also had to face the changing musical climate that were in the beginning of the 90s. Foreigner as a hit machine had slowed down and lot its momentum. Grunge, Metallica and Guns N Roses ruled the planet and most other old acts looked liked dinosaurs. No this isnt the greatest Foreigner album but you cant deny that the typical Foreigner sound is alive and well on this album. The album has the mix of rockers and ballads that one would expect of Foreigner, and the ballads on this one have a slightly harder edge than usual. And the rockers really rocks. This single features three tracks from the album. Buy it and judge for yourself. In Lou Gramms absence i must stay that the band release as strong album as they could at the time
