Description
Original Dutch pressing with printed innersleeve
High class melodic hard rock band put together by the cream of America’s top AOR sessions men. The Huff brothers, Dann and David have both played with White Heart, and Dann have also recorded with Bob Seger, Madonna and Whitesnake, keyboardist Alan Pasqua have recorded with Whitesnake and Van Stephenson amongst a lengthy list of other noted names and bassist. After the first album the band sessioned on Amy Grants Heart In Motion and changed record label to Epic records. The second studio album, was like the debut produced by Terry Thomas. Time To Burn is another excellent, melodic, hard rock album in the vein of Foreigner and Journey, but with the added sting of Dan Huff’s incredible chops and blinding technique. The rest of the band provides equally impressive musicianship throughout, and one is left with the feeling that this record would have been a monster smash had it been released a decade earlier. The music possesses fantastic melodies, hooks, and singalong choruses. The band also achieves near-perfection on heart-rending ballads such as Now Until Forever and the stunning Lost in Paradise. The album gave Giant a strong fan base but the band folded shortly after because Pasqua quit the band as he was unwilling to tour due to family commitments. The band was resurrected ten years later. All melodic rock fans should pick this one up. Fans on AOR sites have been raving about this band and this album since the dawn of internet.
