This Canadian AOr band was originally titled Tokyo and founded in Newmarket, Ontario during 1980. Following numerous club tours the band were spotted by Styx manager Derek Sutton who groomed them for success by adopting a new handle Glass Tiger and scoring a deal with Capitol Records subsidiary Manhattan. They got two hit singles both of which come from their debut album, they won three Juno Awards in 1986 and two more in 1987. The third album ‘Simple Mission’ was released in 1990 and features backing vocals by Jeff Scott Soto (Malmsteen/Talisman) and Tommy Funderburk (King Of Hearts/Mark Free) it also has Rod Stewart dueting on the hit single 'My Town' Track listing: 1.
