One of Swedens first sleaze bands. The Glorious Bankrobbers were formed way back in 1983 and their debut self titled album was released by Planet records in 1984. The band would hit it big with their second album Dynamite Sex Doze that was released five years after the first one. This was a band that borrowed from Johnny Thunders and Steve Jones almost as much as they did from Andy McCoy and the punk era (they even performs a Sex Pistols cover on their debut). After a US tour the singer left the band and started singing with the Norwegian band Backstreet Girls. The rest of the band reformed as Mental Hippie Blood with new singer Michael Oran. Mental Hippie Blood released two albums. However, after many years the band got together again and in 2007 they released the album The Glorious Sound of Rock n Roll. The band started touring again but in 2012 the drummer Oden tragically dies and once again the band was put on ice. This sleaze monster was then given a rebirth in 2023 when the band returned with a new studio album, Back On The Road and then in 2024 came the album Rock N Roll Church. This album featires eleven brand new songs spanning from high energy action rock to a captivating ballad filled with steaming steel guitars.
