Sweden’s Godhead Machinery, released their debut album, Ouroboros, back in 2017 and followed it up in 2019 with this album. This is unorthodox extreme metal with frenetic blast beats and classic black metal riffage. Ekwall’s vocals sit as a growling unclean constant in the bands whirlwind of instrumentation. The even performs one track in their native Swedish which is called Illusion. It’s a bold move that works very well with its dark atmosphere and chaotic sound. Overall a very interesting release that should please fans of the extreme.
