So here it is finally, the Essen-based company’s second long player. The combo, led by singer Benjamin, presents almost a concept album on I Started With The Best Intentions. The listener is accompanied by a not entirely fictional person on the eleven punk rock hits. The band deals with what would have happened if they hadn’t put in the energy, strength and effort to make music in order to fill their own life with it. The tracks, some of which are opulently produced, move between missed opportunities and glimpses into a much more normal life. Luckily, Goodbye Fairground have chosen a different path, namely their own.
