Back in 1973 Hans Edler released this project which features one of the most ambitious record sleeves ever. The album is called Gramophone Theatre and the cover folds out to a mini theatre complete with two different background images and 5 figures Lill-Lollo, Bobo, Lajban, Spök Kasper and Hemliga Hunden (secret dog. This secret dog looks like Scooby-Doo and is called Scooby Doo on the record label. However I guess they had to change the name on the sleeve for not being sued by Hanna-Barbera and then they seems to have forgotten to change it on the label). More background images and figures could later be obtain through the comic magazine Lajban. The material on the album itself features some children stories written by radio profile Ulf Elving. However the story feels like its all over the place and since its supposed to be interactive its all a bit trippy. Music is performed by Hans Edler while voices are shared between Hans and Sture Ström. The album was produced by Black Mark Records founder Börje Forsberg. On the backcover we have radio profile Ulf Elving showing three kids how the theatre works. The boy on the cover is Börje Forsbergs son Tomas, who later would call himself Quorthon and more or less invent black metal. One of the most prominent figures in heavy metal music. That small backpicture was also made as front cover. But it was one of those push out covers so you had to push out that picture to be able to use the stage. This means that the pusch out picture in most cases are gone and copies with that cover is so hard to find 50 years later. Bathory collectors who wants this for the Quorthon picture definitely needs to find a copy that still has that push out cover left.
