Grudom is a very obscure and low-key (even by Black Metal standards) entity from Denmark. Their 2014 album Fjolkyngi contains 40-odd minutes of weird, demented, psychotic, off-the-wall Black Metal mania, all of which is transfused at a hypnotic slow-to-mid pace. It’s creepy, strange, eclectic and thoroughly enjoyable. There’s so much shit floating about masquerading as Black Metal these days that it is almost a shock to hear something so genuinely disturbing, underground and unique. Great stuff.
