Description

Swedish punk/powerpop act from Växjö fromed in late 1979 or early 1980. The band were on and off for several parts of their history due to members going into military service at different times. They travelled to Linköping where they recorded their one and only vinyl single during one long day together with a local producer. The single was released in 1983 and features two tracks performed in Swedish. The title track gets a bit repetitive after a while but the band really shines on the B-side tune, Hjäp Mej Bort. A heavier and thicker sounding tune. This track has even been mentioned among fans of early Swedish hardrock lovers but it has a bit more punk than hardrock feel over it. This could have fitted into the first works of the Swedish band Noice. Their is however a hardrock connection to this single as the band, after the single, changed name to Malaysia and started to play hardrock / heavy metal. A few more tunes were recorded during different sessions in local studios around the Växjö area. These tracks were only copied onto tapes and handed over among their friends. The band then fell apart in 1985 where guitarist Johan Stenberg continued to play with local acts, several of them being pure cover acts. This release came with pink Pang Records label
