Description
Rare Japanese double cd in thick double jewel case
Following the July 1987 release of Appetite For Destruction, Guns N Roses embarked on a vast world tour, during which they became global superstars. Their second album, GN’R Lies, appeared in November 1988, shortly before they embarked on the tour’s seventh and final leg, taking in Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Their first ever Japanese tour took place between the 4th and 9th of December 1988 and the band was so popular that they ad one more show at the Budokan. This album was recorded at the Nakano Sun Plaza, Tokyo on December 7th 1988, the third gig on the Japanese tour. It finds the band at their fiery best, tackling material from their signature debut album, Appetite For Destruction and included hits such as Welcome To The Jungle and You Are Crazy as well as a cover version of Bob Dylan’s Knockin On Heaven’s Door, before the release of the Use Your Illusion albums, making for a rich and fulfilling performance.
