Description

The 2022 single, Hard Skool, is the group’s first release of new material since the release of Chinese Democracy in 2008. Its also the first new Guns N’ Roses track to feature guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan since the release of 1994’s Sympathy For The Devil. The tracks Absurd and Hard Skool were initially written during the Chinese Democracy sessions, then with the working title, Silkworms (Absurd) and Jackie Chan (Hard Skool). The single peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. The song is just pure vintage Guns N’ Roses, There’s not a rock and roll fan on the planet who won’t love the Hard Skool song and Absurd makes the band sound genuinely pumped up, aggressive and full of boisterous energy.
