Guttermouth’s fourth album, Musical Monkey, is everything you’d expect from an abrasive, narcissistic, loud and vulgar band like Guttermouth. With this band its either love them or hate them and this album is no different. Its composed mainly through insults and that’s what Guttermouth does best so that’s probably why this is their best album. This is 15 tracks of snotty, out of control, immature, loud punk rock satire. They are quick to poke fun at everything including rollerbladers, vegans, over the hill rock stars and everything else. If you havent heard Guttermouth before then maybe you should try to listen to a few songs before you get this album because it gets pretty offensive. If you adore the rainbow culture then stay away because you will definitely think that this band are the worst of the Orange County punk scene when you hear the homophobic Big Pink Dress. With lyrics such as; I live with Bill/It’s such a thrill/We get on so fine/We tend our garden every day/Sometimes we get 69. So be prepared as this band make the Bloodhound Gang or Limp Bizkit sound like Beethoven.
