The Heartland Cafe was Gyllene Tiders fourth and final album before the band broke up in 1985 (not counting the releases that were done after they were reunited). This was the first album the band did completely in English. Probably a sign that Per Gessle wanted to take his music out of Sweden. And boy would he succeed just a few years later with Roxette. The Heartland Café was released in 1984 and it would reach place 18 on the Swedish album charts. Sex of the tracks was released in the Usa a year later as Heartland but under the Roxette moniker. Backing vocals by Marie Fredriksson and Niklas Strömstedt.
