Harter Attack was an American meta band Waterford Works in New Jersey. The band were formed by two former Striker members, namely Rich Harter and Nuclear Assault drummer Glenn Evans. The duo released their first demo Real Man in 1986. Evans then left the band to concentrate on his main band Nuclear Assault. However he would continue to help out, produce and even release Harter Attacks next demos on his own Arena Records. Harter Attack was at the beginning a traditional heavy metal band before turning into a more thrash crossover oriented style of metal, not far from what Nuclear Assault had to offer. Imagine an angrier and darker version of Nuclear Assault and you have Harter Attacks first and only album. Glenn Evans produced this album and he as well as Nuclear Assault members Bramante and Lilker made guest appearances on the album. Rich Harter does some throat-shredding screams which makes it wonder if this isnt some of the hardest crossover you ever have heard. The energy of this album never lets up for a second every song is as fierce as the last, and while this band won’t win any points for creative songwriting, their raw energy and sincerity makes up. Human Hell should please thrash fans who value rage and vibe over musical and technical exactitude.
