Description
Havoc was an 80s metal band from San Francisco, California that every serious U.S. metal fan should be familiar with. Their iconic album The Grip, originally released in 1985, is a true example of what American metal was all about in the 80’s, a thrilling, over half-an-hour ride that summed up the scene over there, also bringing to mind other practitioners from there like Griffin, Savage Grace, Laaz Rockit, Tension and Omen. Havoc remains an underground phenomenon. When original drummer Jeff Gfroerer and the other original Havoc members sat down to make the ultimate 40th anniversary edition of The Grip they decided to go through the boxes of recorded material. Aside from The Grip, the band had recorded before and after the album a series of amazing demos with different line-ups. Therefore, it was essential that all these demos had to be released in physical format, resulting to a collection of songs under the title The Demos, featuring lyrics, story, credits and remastered sound. So here you have it. Almost all of the material the band recorded pre and after The Grip, from 1983 to 1992. Enjoy
