Description
This limited album features a show from Whistler in Vancouver, Canada recorded on the 18th of March 1994 with 5 bonus tracks from Seattle in 1993. The album features some raw live energy with some amazing vibes. Ann Wilson’s voice is a force of nature. On Alone she belts it like she’s trying to crack glaciers. Same with These Dreams – yeah, it’s slick ’80s soft rock, but she makes it raw. Real. You feel it in your ribs. Love Hurts hits hard too. Slows things down. Just her and maybe a piano or two. No frills. No auto-tune, pure ache. Nancy’s guitar work on Dog & Butterfly is delicate but sharp. Like embroidery with barbed wire thread. But… not everything slaps. The Woman In Me drags a bit. Feels like they’re going through the motions. And Rage is like a mild irritation. Could’ve been hotter. Sound quality isnt terrible but you can tell this wasn’t mastered in a million-dollar studio. Sound like they were recorded with a mic taped to a ski pole. Still… there’s charm here. It’s unpolished. Human. You hear the crowd, the tuning between songs, Ann cracking a joke mid-set. Makes you feel like you’re there. Not at some perfect arena show, but at a real gig. Where stuff goes slightly wrong. Where it feels alive. Funny thing is – Heart never really gets the full respect they deserve. Too soft for hard rock fans, too rock for pop critics. But this album? It shows their range. From whisper to scream. Literally. Final thought: If you’re hunting for studio perfection, skip it. But if you want a snapshot of Heart being real, messy, and powerful – grab it.
