Description

Helikoptern was a Swedish power pop/punk act that was active in the early 80s. They first appeared on the 37 Minuter I Stockholms City compilation released by Stranded Rekords in 1982. The band then signed to Parlophone Records and released the Pappas Dotter single the following year. The music from the single was also available on Radio Parlophone Andra Sändningen compilation album and the title track has remained a must hear power pop tune from that era and it were brought back to life on the History Of Swedish Parlophone compilation cd in 2002. The band returned and released a cover album called One More Before We Go in 2018 with such noble guests as Billy Bremer from The Rockpile, Chips and Kent from Sator, Dregen from Backyard Babies and Nils Hellberg from Wilmer X, all respected musicians that shows what an impact the original single made when it first came out.
