Highland Queen was a great 80s metal/hard rock band from Lille, France formed in 1983. They released an EP, a single and one demo before calling it a day. This 1983-1985 compilation features all the released material. One cover the band used to play live (not on this album though) was Live Wire by Mötley Crue. This was probably a band that influenced Highland Queen and a good reference point of what they sound like. Early Motley Crue mixed with a light weight Judas Priest and some French acts like Sortilege and Jinx. 80s metal lovers should check this out. Its noothing fancy just no-frills early eighties heavy metal with some cool guitar riffs and over-the-top vocals.
