When it comes to French Metal then most people will probably think of a band that had an album released by Devils Records, ADX, Vulcain, Sortilege, Killers and Steel angel released albums that put France on the metal map. But there were an underground scene in France with lots of bands that never made it outside the border of their own country. This new century have been filled of labels wanting to dig up all these hidden, forgotten and buried metal treasures from all over the world. Hitchhike is one of those band whose 7-track album Tequila has been given a second chance. This was a band that was formed in Lyon in 1985 and after a couple of demos managed to release its sole EP Tequila and then disbanding without a trace. Now when it was time to gives this EP a proper and first cd release then the vaults were dusted off and later unreleased demos were discovered. This is a mix of hardrock and heavy metal and 6 bonus tracks has been added. Some of the later demos from 1990 shows that the band were becoming heavier with time. If youre interested in French underground metal then this one is a solid piece.
