Description

Hyl was formed in Italy by Rick Costantino from, among others, Schizo and Krigere Wolf. He then invited Shadow, from the Polish occult black metal act Black Altar, as vocalist and Belphegor and Vader. Bathuskha live drummer Krzysztof Klingbein. While Hyl’s sound is not at all the rawest, it does have a certain Drudkh-esque edge to it, which is further enhanced by the vocals being not too dissimilar. The album also features a lot of monk chants that makes you think of Bathuska. The music of the band can be described as atmospheric black metal, which should appeal to fans of Ruins Of Beverast, Vemod or Mgła.
