Ian Anderson’s solo album Walk Into Light was released between the two Jethro Tull albums The Broadsword And The Beast and Underwraps. The album was written and played with keyboard player Peter John Vettese and it’s not very surprising that this was Ian Anderson experimenting to the maximum with synthesizers and drum machines. Everyone else was doing the same. This was a time when every single was available in 12″ format with extra drum machines and music in most pubs started thumping to the same monotonous beat. Ian Anderson’s mix of folk and rock always works best in his Jethro Tull’s group setting but as a solo album he can experiment more and an excurion into more electronic music is probably not every ones cup of tea though. If you like Tull’s albums Underwraps and A then you know what you could expect
