The two tracks on this shaped picture disc was taken from Iced Earth 2002 cover album Tribute To The Gods. Black Flag, is a pirate-themed songs, which shifts from a dreary Running Wild styled quiet intro, which then builds into a slow paced march comparable to Sabbath’s Heaven And Hell, just before launching into an upbeat shuffling groove out of the Children Of The Grave playbook. Raven Wing is about shamanism, wargs or as we used to call them in ancient Prehispanic lore; nahuales. That is, a person with the ability to possess animal spirits or bodies. Two songs of flawlessly executed, straight-forward, epic, powerful and honest metal.
