Description

Swedish heavy metal act formed in 1996 in Kristinehamn. The band released a very limited four track silver printed demo cd called ‘Illlusions Of The Past’ in 1998 recorded at the local recording studio. This first demo includes some 80s metal with some thrash oriented metal riffs. The band was then put on hold in November 1998 because three of the band members joined the more successful act Brimstone that just had released their debut album ‘Carving A Crimson Career’. However by 1999 Larsson, Ydinger and Strende walked out of Brimestone to reform Impale with Peter Henningsson again. A private 3 track cd single was released in 2000 and showed a band that have matured and improved a lot. The three track cd single ‘Keeper Of The Flame’ included some high class power metal. The band started to work on a full length album but two members now went on to Silent Scythe and the band Impale was laid to rest.
