Imperial State Electric and Dead Lord has recorded one Motörhead song each for this split vinyl. Anyone who have heard anything by Nicke Anderson will know that Andersson tends to wear his influences on his sleeve. Whatever its Kiss, Badfinger, MC-5, The Raspberries, Cheap Trick its all there. Traces of his idols can be found in most tracks by Imperial State Electric, The Hellacopters or any of his many other projects. So hearing Nicke putting his mark on a Motorhead track should sound interesting and its also nice to see that he didnt decided to go for some of the obvious “hit songs” choices. Instead Mr Andersson dug through his Motorhead collection and picked out a tune from the 1982 Iron Fist album, Loser. Retro hardrockers Dead Lord on the other hand has done a version of Stone Dead Forever, a classic Motorhead tune written by Kilmister, Clarke and Taylor during their most productive years 1978/1979. A track that ended up on the Bomber album and it sounds just as good today as it did back then. Now you can experience the Dead Lord version of it on this single.
