2023 re-issue on gold vinyl

The progressive death metal act In Mourning were assembled in the year 2000. The band released no less than 5 demos before getting a record deal. Their debut album Shrouded Divine was then released in 2008. The music is Scandinavian sounding melodic and progressive death metal, think Omnium Gatherum, Insomnium, Opeth, and Amorphis. Its often quite slow and heavy and the atmosphere feels rather unique with lots of emotions and feels both epic and melancholic. The vocals goes between deep growling, clean vocals to high pitch snarling. Overall a high quality release and fans of melodic/progressive death metal should find a lot to enjoy here.
