Description

2017 digibook release with booklet featuring new pictures, promo pictures, flyers, posters etc

One of the early bands on the German death metal scene was Incubator from Oldenburg. Guitar player Michael Hahn would become a very prolific audio engineer and running the Rosenquarz Tonstudio in Lubeck where he would produce many local metal bands in the years to come. Incubator debuted with an 8-track demo in 1990 and the debut album Symphonies Of Spiritual Cannibalism was released a year later, proving that Incubator were one of really innovative death metal bands in Germany. The second album, McGillroy The Housefly, was released a year later and the concept story on this album is a thematic continuation of the text concept from the first album. Musically, the band showed a variety in styles and lots of interesting song ideas and some odd crazy vocals. Incubator performs slow to mid-paced death metal with some technical elements. The Incubator machine seems to be rolling on but now fifteen years later we can confirm that the band never really reached the next level. Underground death metal fans continues to buy their records but it never really took of for the band and maybe they lacked those stand out tracks that would become classics in the annals of death metal history. However if youre a die hard death metal fan then its time to discover this band as this album still has a high entertainment value
