Iron Fist was a metal band from Alkmaar in Holland that was active during 1986 and 1995. They debuted with the Sea Of Blood single in 1988 and would go on and release two full length albums on cd, Loaded Gun (1992) and Motorsexlemania (1994), before calling it a day. The band wants to be heavier than the other locals acts so while the other bands play melodic rock Iron Fist goes in a rawer direction influenced by acts such as Slayer, Metallica and Motorhead. And in all honesty the band has so many Motorhead songs in their setlist that they could easy be a Motorhead cover band for the first year and a half. In 1988 vocalist John Peter Kuiper gives up and is replaced by Marc Weisscher and the band records a new demo. Now the band is starting to get noticed overseas as well and the band are offered 3 shows in Usa, however due to circumstances only one of these were performed. That one date on American soil was made at the famous CBGB club in New York on the 7th of January 1990 and the band tapes the show and release it as a live demo when they get back to Holland. They release the Loaded Gun album that receives 8 out of 10 in the Aardschok magaine and the band gets to play support to acts such as Metal Church and Manowar before reaching their highest point in their career when they get the chance to open up for their heroes Motorhead in Tilburg back in 1994.
