Iron Maiden’s World Slavery Tour most count as one of the biggest highlights in heavy metal history. Not only was it one of the longest and most extensive tours ever undertaken by any rock band, it also featured a mammoth stage setup that replicated the intricate ancient Egyptian scenery of the Powerslave album cover. Several funny incident occurred during this tour and one of them took place at the Ex Caserme Revelli, Arma Di Taggia in Italy on the 22nd of August 1984. Bruce Dickinson arent really aware of where they are on the nights set list and managed to introduce Halloween Be Thy Name and 22 Acacia Avenue as Iron Maiden and gets “cheesed off” by making such mistakes. So Bruce takes control of the situation by modifing the lyrics of 22 Acacia Avenue and instead sings about cheese after a Monty Python sketch. Then he does the same on Run To The Hills (singing run to the cheese) and on Iron Maiden. This went down in the Maiden history as the “Cheese shop incident” and these versions wouldnt never be performed again which makes this performance rather unique as well as quite hilarious.
