Description

Isegrim was one of the few black metal bands that came out of Germany that actually could do some impact. It began in 1998 as solo project of Sven Meesters but it turned out to a full band in time for their second album, Dominus Inferus Ushanas in 2000. Like most black metal bands at the time they are on an never-ending war against everything that is holy. Dominus Infernus Ushanas shows lots of aggression and brutality and should please fans of the old intense releases from Marduk, Dark Funeral and Emperor. No keyboards, no gothic overtones instead its done the old way with shrieky vocals combined with deep demonic growls. This is what pure black metal once was. Sven Meesters went on with his antichristian mission in Mystic Circle for several years and albums.
