The 2016 EP, The Dead And Those About To Die, is Anders Biazzi’s most powerful and emotive music he has recorded with his band Just Before Dawn. This is the perfect soundtrack about the passion of war, death and dramatic histories in the battlefields. One of the interesting things about this project is to see what guests Biazzi has gathered for each release as he seems to know every monster vocalist and guitar demon there is in the death metal camp. This time around its a bit different. Biazzi has kept it rather simple for being a Just Before Dawn release. The core of this recording is Biazzi, Rogga Johansson (Paganizer etc) and drummer Brynjar Helgetun (Megascavenger). Then we have Wombbath members Jonny Pettersson and Hhåkan Stuvemark as well as Evocation members Marko Palmen and Vewsa Kenttäkumpu and Benny Moberg (Blood Mortized/Malfeitor). There are tons of fans out there that are satisfied with just continuing to re-play their enshrined collection of death metal albums from the late 80s and early 90s because they don’t see the point in devoting time to anything that’s unlikely to improve the original template. Still there are bands just like Just Before Dawn that knows exactly how to make old school extreme metal. Anyone into Swedish death metal or the tank battalion attack of Bolt Thrower should check this out. Just Before Dawn is just too good to be ignored. A death metal sonic machine
