Description
If you thought that it was only Sweden and Holland that could delivery high class old school brutal death metal then think again. The Canadian act Kaotik has a lot of Swedish ingredients but also sounds influenced by Pestilence and Morgoth and has groovy Obituary grooves. The three first tracks sounds more brutal that makes you wonder if these tracks are written in a different time period because after the third track it feels like the music has more thrash influences. Vocalist Pierre-Luc Simard has a low grunt, a bit John Tardy style every now and then. Luc Lemay from Canads Gorguts steps in on two tracks, War At The Door and Bad Awakening. These guys sure don’t hold back when it comes to delivery, forging ahead at an unrelenting and unforgiving pace. Classic chainsaw death metal riffs on tracks such as Lobotomy and Screeching Sound ensure that you’ll be hooked right to the end. The album is also mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö, who also do guest vocals on a track, so its hard to find any really fault with this album. If youre a fan of death metal this album should do your day
