A split album between two Turkish acts, Ohol Yeg and Karanlik (means Darkness in Turkish). Both bands are one man projects that performs black metal. Ohol Yeg from Ankara is run by Sazakan who does everything on his recordings. He dont even bother to use help from professionals when it comes to studio or production. I know this sounds like you could expect some muddy and raw black metal. And Sazakan is into the raw side of black metal but its far from a bad recording. Actually the sound is incredible for just one person handling everything. Karanlik is run by Ahraz and the music is performs is more aggressive and the music is accompanied by clattering drums and riffs reminiscent of late 1990s Marduk. Sometimes you think this could have been some unreleased bonus tracks on Panzer Division Marduk. Ahraz has been working with his Karanlik project since 2001 and all the experience he has gathered during these years shows as these tracks are among the best he has done.
