KAT – the godfathers of Black/Thrash Metal music in Poland – is back! The band was formed by Piotr Luczyk (guitar) in 1979. They successfully performed in Poland as an instrumental band, winning the favour of many fans. Fascination with music of Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath shaped the style of the band and after 2 years of searching for a Polish equivalent of David Coverdale, KAT finally found a vocalist. Not only music but also the spectacular of their shows won the band their reputation, resulting in concerts as a headliner at all most important festivals in the country, such as Jarocin, Metalmania, Opole, and Rock Arena. KAT shared the stage with Metallica during their “Master of Puppets” tour, as also with stars like Motorhead, Overkill, Death, Hanoi Rocks, Running Wild and Helloween. On the 28th of November 2003, KAT supported the British legend Iron Maiden during their show at the Mystic Festival in Hala Ludowa in Wroclaw. The performance was recorded and released on this dvd. Kat’s ‘Somewhere In Poland’ was the first dvd to be released in Poland with true 5.1 sound. The first dvd features the show from Wroclaw while the second dvd features rare bonus material.
