Kataklysm is back with of Ghosts And Gods a for the most part above quality piece of death metal brutality. First thing I must say is I honestly did not expect to like of Ghosts And Gods as much as I do. But after listening to the album for a few weeks I must say this is one of the strongest releases I have heard this year. Some people like to complain about the lack of constant blast beats I find the variety of tempos and the killer grooves very welcomed and effectively done. The build up of thy serpents tongue for instance is one of my favourite parts of the album. Anyone looking for death metal with a good mix of melody, brutality and groove should be very satisfied with of ghosts and gods.
