Original 1976 US press

KGB released two albums in 1976, the self titled KGB and Motion, that seemed to have sold poorly as both discs could be found in cut out bins n the late 70s. The band was some sort of an international super group and maybe the record label were so sure it would be a massive seller due to the people who were involved that they pressed way to many of them. Anyway on this second and final album we find ex-Electric Flag Barry Goldberg and Gregg Sutton (The Coup) together with Ben Schultz, Ray Kenney and ex Vanilla Fudge, Cactus, pre-King Kobra drummer Carmine Appice. The album was co-produced by former Dust guitarist Richie Wise but these tight players doesnt managed to create anything really special. Ray Kennedys voice is strong on the album but unfortunately its not a great 70s rock album, they play around with to many funk influences to become really that interesting. The band managed to play a few gigs with Blue Oyster Cult but nothing really took off and the band members soon went separate ways
