Description
2018 picture disc. Limited 2000 copies
Like the Who with Tommy, King Diamond decided to perform their rock opera Abigail in concert in its entirety. One of those occasions was captured on In Concert 1987: Abigail. This album wasnt meant to be released but the band was disappointed of the sales with The Eye and wanted to change label. However the band had a contract that said that they had to release one more album on Roadrunner so King came up with these recordings and released this album in 1990. This is a live album in every sense of the word, no overdubs or touch-ups. Featuring the same line-up as the Abigail album except that guitarist Michael Denner was no longer in the band and was temporarily replaced by the Swede Michael Moon. Moon does a fine job of playing Denner’s solos and does a fairly good job making them his own. Since this is the only official live album from the old days its essential for all Diamond fans
