Even with the adjustment of the set list, the Alive II tour was little more than an extension of the Love Gun tour with it starting off where the latter had left off. However, it is firmly burned into the psyche as the ultimate tour the band conducted during their original era. Simply put, the Alive II represented the band at its visual height and domestic popularity as they prepared for an extended hiatus from the road in order to pursue the solo albums and TV projects. During this period merchandising grew, as did the band’s overexposure. But for a few months the band put on some of their strongest performances on this tour, which still stands as one of their best attended averaging 13,900 attendees per show. This album is from the Caiptal Centre in Landover on December the 20th in 1977. Only one gig was planned, on the 19th, but due to popular demand a second date had to be added to the itinerary.
