Description
An almost forgotten period in the bands history, the mid to late 80’s output that consisted of the Mark V line up of the band. Kiss in the early 80’s was in shambles, they had seemingly lost their way with the ill fated Music From The Elder project and much of their fan base had deserted them. Miraculously they started from scratch and with a more determined focus they removed their make up and produced three incredible records starting with Creatures Of The Night and culminated with the platinum selling Animalize record. But they still had not stabilized their line up after the departures of Ace Frehely, that would soon change with the addition of Bruce Kulick and through the tenacity of Paul Stanley (who assumed a leadership role since Gene was busy with film projects) the band flourished in the new music landscape. It was an exciting time for the band and they never faltered and continued to give Kiss fans what they wanted and demanded…the best. This album captures the band at the time of the release of Animalize. It features a soundboard recording of the Apollo Theatre in Glasgow, Scotland, show at the beginning of the European leg of the 1984 Animalize World Tour on the 5th of October, where Bruce Kulick filled in for Mark St. John when he was unable to tour. This recording includes all 10 tracks, including the rare I’ve Had Enough (Into The Fire), the opening track of the Animalize album but not performed on the later US tour. Bruce Kulick became a permanent member midway through the US tour.
