Uhh what a punch in the face. Swedish band Kiwi Maddogs album Madness takes the only good thing from the grunge era (yes the heaviness of Alice In Chains) and mixes it with 70s reeking rattling doom rock ala Black Sabbath and the 90s garage rock movement. It will only take you a few second into the album until your hooked on that lovely groove. Some tracks are slower and bluesier but still as good. Overall its an heavy, 70s retro and enjoyable album. There must be something in the drinking water in Umea as it continues to be the birthplace of so many great metal bands.
