Description

KK Wilde (formerly Kid Curry) is a Los Angeles based hard rock band and one of the greatest bands you may never heard of from the 80’s/90’s Sunset Strip. The band debuted with the record Rock N Roll came out in 1991. In the pantheon of expensive, sought-after hair-metal indies, this one ranks up towards the top thanks to catchy hooks, sing-along choruses and big backing vocals. They also made two videos and toured the US twice. Their songs were featured on ABC’s Life Goes On and a Warner Bros. Motion Picture called Showdown In Little Tokyo with the songs Round And Round and Boys Nite Out. One of the tracks on their debut, Aint No Doubt, was in high demand when it came to airplay. The band bought a tour bus and set up a vigorous schedule of cross country shows. At the same time Kris and the band started writing new material which would become the second album, Cocaine Cowboy, which was recorded and released in 1991 to keep the buzz going about the band. Just as things were really heating up, Nirvana released their album, Nevermind and Los Angeles bands were abandoned for their Seattle counterparts and the band fell apart.
