Krokus studio albums have been available in Usa ever since they released their third album Pain Killer, or Pay It In Metal as it was named in some countries. And when Marc Storace joined the band, for their Metal Rendez-Vous album in 1980, they finally got a small hit with Heatstrokes, that charted on the British Heavy Metal Charts but even opened up the markets for other parts of the world. Next album Hardware was the first one to make it into the American Billboard charts at place 103 while One Vice At The Time, made it into place 53 in 1982. Then came Headhunter, the bands seventh studio album and it crushed everything the band had done in the past, sales wise. This one achieved gold status in Usa and it was followed by another gold album in Usa, The Blitz, featuring Midnite Maniac the first ever track by any Swiss artist to reach Billboards hot 100 singles charts. The band had toured Usa since 1980 but now things were different. The Blitz Tour saw the band opening up for Sammy Hagar, on his biggest tour for his final studio album VOA (Voice Of America), then the band stayed in Usa and tour with acts such as Kiss, Accept and Dokken to name a few. Almost 100 gigs were done in Usa alone for this tour. This album was recorded at the classic Cobo Hall in Detroit on the 12th of October 1984, when they were supporting Sammy Hagar. The material performed during this tour were focused on material from Headhunter and The Blitz as they both where very successful in the States. After the return of this tour things started to go wrong. They released the polished Change Of Address that became a commercial failure and they tried to recover by releasing their first live album Alive And Screaming, also recorded in Usa and Canada but in 1986. However its easy to forget Alive And Screaming when you’re listening to this album. This is a bombastic performance where the band is so full of energy and has a wonderful set list. This is a great testimony of the band when they were at the heights of their career.
