Well, the band Legend from Jersey in the Channel Islands does not really need an introduction. Amongst fans of the N.W.O.B.H.M. they are truely a legend. With two albums and one 12″ EP on their own Workshop Records in the early ‘80’s, they carved their name into music history. These discs are must have item for any fan of early 80’s heavy metal, the N.W.O.B.H.M. or just great heavy guitar music! Their debut album was a stunning mix of 70s heavy rock and early metal sounds with some of the heaviest gritty guitar sounds of the era that would make any fan of Sir Lord Baltimore, Jerusalem or Toad proud. A year later the band released the follow up Death In The Nursery. The band continues to combine classic metal with parts that have more of a Hard Rock feel. Dispersed throughout most of the tracks there are quite a lot of engaging instrumental passages and also soft parts that serve to add a level of contrast not found in the work of most of their NWOBHM peers. Death In The Nursery is on par with the best material from some of the biggest names in the NWOBHM movement. Even though its not a progressive album it has so much variation in their song structures than the average NWOBHM act.
