Legend was a classic 70s proggy metal band that released one album, From The Fjords, an album that is simply one of the greatest hard rock / proto metal albums of all time. That’s an undisputable fact. 45 years have passed since its original release in 1979 and Raymond Frigon, the co-founder and drummer of the original band, decided to reactivate the mighty Legend under a new prism, but guitar player Kevin Nugent is sadly no longer with us. Legend was asked to play in Europe Ray contacted Janne Stark about handling the guitar. Unfortunately Janne was busy with Overdrive and Falling Hazard at the time and had to turn the offer down. Instead his friend Martin J Andersen (Blindstone, Walter Trout etc) came in on guitar. The gigs however never happened because of Covid. Ray had become a born again Christian and wanted to re-record some of the old material with new lyrics as Legend Revisisted, featuring Martin on guitar. The bass spot was free and was then filled by Janne Stark. The three of them created another opus in 2023 called From The Lord. Make no mistake, this is not just another run of the mill project that aims on cashing in on the cult status of an old band. This is a totally masterful music endeavor of the highest artistic value placed upon the original songs. The old fans of Legend will be surprised by Legend Revisisted. An amazing new band was born, a band that has its roots in the glorious 70’s, with a religious lyrical content that serves as a message for today’s world problems.
