Description
Lektyr was a Swedish magazine written in Swedish. The first issue came out in 1923 and back then it was mostly a weekly magazine for young men with detective and western material. In the 60s it changed and was then using the same concept as the American Playboy, that is, slightly funny stories, serious articles and initially pictures of scantily clad women. From the late 1960s, the pornographic elements in both this and its main competitor Lektyr increased. After its heyday in the 70s the magazine faced increased competition in the 1980s, both from other men’s magazines and from the growing video industry. As a result of declining circulation figures, the magazine went from beeing a weekly magazine to a monthly magazine in 1987. The last printed issue was published in November of 2024.
This issue has 64 pages written in Swedish. It features middle pages, back and front cover of Monica Ekman, 2 pages with F1 driver Graham Hill, 2 pages with Peter Sellers, 6 pages with the man of year 1968 (with Anders Carlberg, Ulf Sterner, Ernst Hugo Järegård, Reine Wisell, Plex Pettersson), 8 pages with the girls of the year 1968 (among them a 19 year old Christina Lindberg), a Alfred Hitchock novelty and scantily clad ladies and sex stories
