One of the top club acts in Houston during the years 1976 through 1979 was undoubtedly Lic. They built a reputation for high energy performances that left audiences screaming for more. In 1979 they attempted to take that energy, along with all the momentum they had built during their relentless gigging schedule, into the recording studio. Under the direction of their management company, American Bands Management, they recorded their first full length album, and released a 7″ containing tracks from that album. Unfortunately the record suffered from a terrible mix and an unimaginative cover and thus failed to deliver on the promise. Still, the band soldiered on and continued to build their following up until around 1980 at which time another single was produced, the Bomb Iran with B side Tracy. Thankfully we now have a completely remixed and remastered Lic album, and the promise that once was, can now clearly be heard and appreciated. The Bomb Iran single has been added as bonus tracks. For fans of Ted Nugent, Rex, Teaze and Diamond Reo.
