Description
Viviendo El Metal is the second album by the Sao Paulo-based traditional heavy metal band Living Metal. This is not your typical studio album instead the band members Pedro Zupo (vocals), Rafael Romanelli (guitar), Jonas Soares (guitar) and Jean Praelli (drums) wanted to pay homage to the history of heavy metal in Latin America. Vocalist Pedro says; Of course we love bands like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, but when we look around we realize that few people know the true titans of heavy metal who are right beside us and being neglected. Heavy metal in Latin America also began in the late 70s, and there were pioneers who are in no way inferior to the great American or European bands. We felt it was time to honor them, that it was time to thank them for raising the flag that we dare to say we carry today. Brazil has always been a bit more isolated from its neighbors, whether due to its vast territory or the linguistic and cultural barrier. Therefore, bands that were crucial in establishing heavy metal culture in Latin America are unknown to the general Brazilian public, perhaps even underestimated. Hopefully this album will open the eyes and ears of heavy metal fans all over the globe. The album also features a new track by the band
