Lobotomy was a Swedish death metal act from Stockholm formed in 1989 and split-up in 2000. The band released several demos in the early 90s. Here you have the bands second demo, Against The Gods., a demo that saw the light of day in 1992. The band shows progression from their debut album while not loosing any of that primitive raw feel. Lobotomy had this tight rhythmic consistency and that special Swedish death metal guitar tone. Against The Gods shows that Swedish death metal was bigger than the specific style perfected by the likes of Entombed, Carnage, and Dismember. Swedish death metal connoisseurs should take notice
