Description
Italian beat pop combo London Underground was formed in Florence in 1998. Their self titled debut album, released in 2000, is a rare example of the quality which few actual bands (from the 90s and forward) reaches. It takes the great sound of late 60s and early 70s which means it sounds psychodelic and massive at the same time. It’s work has an influence of Arthur Brown, Atomic Rooster, late Beatles and Jefferson Airplane. They have often been compared to the Italian progressive act Standarte. Pretty much due to the fact that they have Standarte’s drummer / lead vocalist Daniele Caputo on board. Their Swedish record label called this the missing link between progressive music and Beatles. Very melodic, but still with a very special touch of strange and interesting chords. So try it out
