In 2013 Oslo, Norway based Magister Templi releasead their debut album Lucifer Leviathan Logos, an old school doom metal album on par with Pagan Altar, Saint Vitus and Pentagram. Wto years later they releaed their somophore album Into Duat that were less doom and more NWOBHM mixed with early European heavy metal. The year inbetween the two albums, 2014, was a very busy year too. The band made a European tour together with Slough Feg. For this tour the band released the Nyarlathotep single. We had written this song that we knew wouldn’t really fit into our next album, and we was to release that, then we also wanted to give a bit of a preview of things to come says singer Abraxas D’ Ruckus. The A-side of the single is an exclusive track, Nyarlathotep, really sort of Egyptian too, while the B-side, Anubis is also featured on the Into Duat album, but in a different version.
